Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 1st, 2025

By booking an inspection with Kilshaw Home Inspections, you (“CLIENT”) agree to the following Terms of Service. These terms outline the scope, limitations, and responsibilities involved in our home and sewer inspection services.

1. Scope of Services

Kilshaw Home Inspections provides non-invasive, visual inspections of readily accessible components of residential properties. This includes, but is not limited to, structural elements, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and sewer systems (if selected). Sewer inspections utilize state-of-the-art camera technology, and clients receive a copy of the recording via USB.

All inspections are conducted in accordance with the Standards of Practice set by the Canadian Association of Home & Property Inspectors (CAHPI) and the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI).

2. Inspection Limitations

Inspections are limited to visible and accessible components at the time of service. We do not dismantle systems or inspect concealed elements. Kilshaw Home Inspections does not inspect or test for environmental hazards (e.g., asbestos, mold, radon), code compliance, or provide warranty for future conditions.

3. Inspection Reports

Clients will receive a detailed digital report following their inspection, typically within 24–48 hours. This report is for the sole use of the client and may not be transferred or relied upon by third parties without written consent.

4. Fees and Payment

All inspection services are final sale. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. We accept all major credit cards and e transfer for payment.

5. Cancellations

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

6. Liability Limitation

Kilshaw Home Inspections’ liability for any claim related to the inspection, whether based in contract or tort, shall be limited to the amount of the fee paid for the service. No warranties, expressed or implied, are provided.

7. Client Responsibility

The client is encouraged to attend the inspection and ask questions. It is the client’s responsibility to provide safe and legal access to the property and inform us of any special conditions in advance.

8. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Saskatchewan.
