Frequently Asked Questions

  • What does a home inspection include?

A standard home inspection includes a thorough assessment of the home's major systems and components, such as the roof, foundation, structure, plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling systems, insulation, windows, doors, and more. Craig provides a detailed digital, easy-to-read report with photos and recommendations.

  • How long does a home inspection take?

Most inspections take around 3 hours, depending on the size, age, and condition of the home. Larger or older homes may take longer. Craig takes the time needed to ensure every key area is properly inspected and nothing is overlooked.

  • When will I receive my inspection report?

You will receive your full inspection report within 24 hours of the inspection. The report is delivered digitally and includes high-resolution photos, descriptions of any concerns, and clear guidance on next steps.

  • Can I go over the results with the inspector?

Yes, and we highly recommend it. Once the inspection is complete, Craig is happy to walk you through the findings in person or by phone. He’ll explain any concerns, answer your questions, and make sure you feel confident understanding the report and what it means for your next steps.

  • Do I need a home inspection on a new build?

Yes. Even brand new homes can have hidden issues. A professional inspection helps ensure the builder met proper standards and that there are no oversights that could become costly later. Craig often finds issues in new construction that can be resolved under warranty if caught early.

  • What should I do if the inspection uncovers issues?

If the inspection reveals concerns, don't panic. Craig’s goal is to provide the facts so you can make informed decisions. In most cases, issues can be resolved through negotiation with the seller, repairs, or further evaluation. Your REALTOR® can help you take the next steps using the inspection report as a key tool.
